You Are Not In A Time Loop!

What you are looking at is a time loop.  "A time loop is a plot device whereby characters reexperience a span of time which is repeated, sometimes more than once, with some hope of breaking out of the cycle of repetition."1

A time loop is a paradox, it is contradictory to our experiences with time.  Thankfully they only exist in fiction.  If you have seen the graphic fight of Dr. Strange verse Dormammu you get the picture.  It is a prison for the mind, an endless cycle that only gets broken when a particular event or decision is made to end the madness.

You are not in a time loop!  The Coronavirus hasn't imprisoned you!

This season of social distancing from the general public and isolating from friends and family is temporary, even if it feels like an endless loop that you are stuck in.  This is a season to walk by faith into new areas of growth and maturing.  You cannot stay where you are at spiritually.  Like in the tale of Pilgrims Progress, written by John Bunyon, Christian takes a journey to rid himself of his burdens.  There is no time loop, he presses on in his linear journey, like we all do.

If you are feeling stuck, I believe there is something you can do.  Make some new rythems.  God is deeply interested in helping you overcome! Consider planning out your day each morning.  Begin with devotion and time of prayer, then consider what your day looks like as you eat some breakfast.  Then tomorrow, reflect on how yesterday went.  Learn and adjust as you journey onward.  Find the rhythms you need and be open to newness and the opportunity to experience God's rich blessings as you venture into uncharted territories of this season.
